COVID-19 Office Policies

Important information regarding visits to our office

In keeping with the guidelines set out by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), we are reopening for all types of patient visits, including mammograms. We are doing this with the utmost concern for the safety of our patients and staff in this time of COVID19.

We have put in place changes to our protocols for both staff and patients to reduce the potential for infection transmission.

STAFF PROTOCOLS

  • Our staff will self-monitor for symptoms and will not enter the office if they exhibit any signs of illness.
  • Staff will wear masks during all patient interactions.
  • Staff is maintaining a 6′ distance from each other, or are wearing a mask.
  • Staff will wash their hands before and after each patient visit and after cleaning or disinfecting rooms.
  • After each patient visit, we will thoroughly clean and disinfect patient rooms and restrooms, including light switches, doorknobs, and other high-touch surfaces.
  • We have retrained all staff members on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfection and infection control practices.

PATIENT PROTOCOLS

  • We will continue to screen each patient for COVID19 symptoms by phone when scheduling appointments.
  • At this time, patients will be asked to update all demographic information by phone (insurance, pharmacy, address, phone number) to eliminate the need to provide this information at the front desk.
  • Patients are required to wear a face mask/covering when entering our office.
  • Patients can not bring visitors into the office to avoid people staying in the waiting room.
  • We request that patients limit the number of personal belongings they bring with them.
  • Beverages and food are not allowed.
  • Upon arrival for your appointment, please call us from your car.
  • We will again verify that you are without symptoms and have not been in a high-risk COVID19
setting in the last 14 days.
  • We will collect your co-payment credit card information upon arrival by phone. (We are not accepting cash.) If you plan to pay by check, please complete your check before entering the office.
  • Our staff will alert you when you may enter the building. Only one patient may enter at a time.
  • Upon entering our office, each patient must wash or gel clean their hands and will then be taken directly to an exam room.
  • At the end of the visit, patients will not need to stop at the reception desk unless they need to make a future appointment.

NEW PATIENTS PROTOCOLS

  • Please complete the new patient forms posted on our website.
  • You may complete the forms online and then either fax to our office before your appointment at 919-847-7471 or bring them with you. The new patient forms are not transmitted through our website, and our email is not HIPAA-compliant.
  • Upon arrival, please will call our front desk and remain in your car until instructed to enter.
  • We will again verify that you are without symptoms and have not been in a high-risk COVID19 setting in the last 14 days.
  • We will collect your co-payment credit card information upon arrival by phone. (We are not accepting cash.) If you plan to pay by check, please complete your check before entering the office.

We are rigorously monitoring this situation and will make adjustments to our protocols as necessary as this situation continues to unfold. At all times, patient safety will be our driving force in determining office protocols.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time to maintain safety for all of our patients and staff.
